Pine-Richland student achievements for the week of April 4, 2023

Baldwin Wallace University winter sports student-athletes Alek Johnson and Robby Palmieri were named to the 2022-23 Winter Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference team. In order to be selected as Academic All-OAC, a student-athlete must be a sophomore or higher in class standing, maintain varsity status and have at least a 3.50 cumulative GPA.

University of Alabama student John Faber is participating in UA’s Cooperative Education Program during the spring 2023 semester. Faber is working for Mercedes Benz, U.S. International. In the Cooperative Education Program, students alternate periods of full-time study with periods of full-time employment. The program offers work related to the academic major or career interests of each student.

On March 17-18, 10 Pine-Richland High School students competed in National History Day at the Heinz History Center: Katie Yanni (12), Jocelyn Curreri (11), Brooke Deegan (9), Roarie Hertzig (9), Kaylee Koch (9), Evelyn Lawler (9), Deeya Nayyar (9), Ryan Noir (9), Alexis Ross (9) and Ella Yanni (9). Alexis Ross and Jocelyn Curreri were selected to advance to the National History Day in Pennsylvania State Contest at the University of Scranton April 22-23, both in the individual exhibit category. Alexis was selected for her project on the Guerilla Girls, and Jocelyn was selected for her project on Hedy Lamarr.
