Pine-Richland National Merit students
Pine-Richland High School seniors Benjamin Carnovale, Lydia Francis, Gregory Gilmour, Malini Harinath, Rori Holm, Evan Jackson, Jinwon Jang, Connor Johnson, Catherine Lee, Kareem Mohsen, Max Romano, Will Sangpachatanaruk, Michael Tamburri, Abigail Turner, Victor Williams and Joseph Woodrow were recognized by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation as commended students.
Seniors Brendan Anderson, John Faber, Joshua Pazin, Rebecca Peng and Samuel Stella were recognized by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation as semifinalists. They are among 16,000 semifinalists in the United States. They will have the opportunity to qualify for finalist status and compete for National Merit Scholarships.
Enrolled at University of Kentucky
Dayne Goltz of Gibsonia is one of nearly 1,600 incoming freshmen at the University of Kentucky’s College of Arts & Sciences.
Graduated from Ohio University
Three area students were among the more than 1,900 summer semester graduates from Ohio University.
Jonathan Chantz of Allison Park graduated with an associate’s degree in arts.
Sara Diamond of Wexford graduated with a bachelor of science in nursing.
Marianne Wade of Gibsonia graduated with a bachelor of science in nursing.
Dean’s list
Brendan Moyer of Gibsonia was named to the dean’s list at The Citadel for the spring 2020 semester. The dean’s list is a recognition given to cadets and students who are registered for 12 or more semester hours and whose grade point average is 3.20 or higher, with no grade of I (Incomplete) and no grade below C for work in a semester.
