Pine holds reorganization meeting
The Pine board of supervisors held its annual reorganization meeting on Jan. 6.
The board elected Ryan Colombo as chair and Audrey Mackie as vice chair.
Supervisor Pat Avolio made a motion to approve the following reappointments to various committees for 2025 during the meeting. The motion was seconded by Mackie and unanimously approved by the board members.
• Northern Regional Police Board — appointees: Avolio, Colombo and Casey White, alternates: Mackie and Jack Donahue;
• North Hills Council of Government — appointee: Donahue, alternate: Mackie;
• Wexford Volunteer Fire Company — appointees: Mackie and Avolio;
• Pine Richland School District — appointee: Colombo, alternate: Mackie;
• Northern Regional Police Department Pension Trust Committee — appointee: White, alternate: Colombo;
• Pennsylvania Department of Transportation — appointees: Avolio and Donahue;
• North Pittsburgh Community Development Corporation — appointee: Donahue, alternate: White;
• Township Non-Uniform Pension Plan Chief Administrative Officer — appointee: Colombo, alternate: White;
• Friends of Pine Community Parks — appointees: Mackie and White;
• Township Finance Committee — appointees: Avolio and Colombo;
• Allegheny County Association of Township Officials — appointee: Avolio, alternate: Donahue.;
The board reappointed township Manager Jason Kratsas as its Pennsylvania State Association of Township Supervisor voting delegate on behalf of Pine township.
The board of supervisors also made a motion to approve the reappointment and appointments of the following expiring terms:
• Planning Commission — reappointed John Lombardo, term to expire Dec. 31, 2028;
• Environmental Advisory Council — reappointed Cheryl Wist and John Zerrer, terms to expire Dec. 31, 2027;
• Zoning Hearing Board — reappointed Lisa Earl, term to expire Dec. 31, 2029;
• Parks and Recreation Commission — reappointed Philip Raub and appointed Bill Campbell, terms to expire Dec. 31, 2027.
Additional appointments were expected to be presented in mid-January.
