Pine planning 2 more splash pad family outings
Pine held its first splash pad Family Fun Night of the season on June 18.
The evening featured an under-the-sea adventure theme. Children met SpongeBob SquarePants, made themed crafts and received a goodie bag. And all of the youngsters in attendance got to cool off at the splash pad.
Pine is planning two more Family Fun Nights at the splash pad this summer.
The next event, Fire and Splash, will be held from 5:30 to 8 p.m. July 16. During the firefighter-themed evening, children will be able to meet firefighters and tour a Wexford Volunteer Fire Company truck. There also will be themed crafts and activities. Only children need to be enrolled, but parents should remain on-site. Pine’s final splash pad outing for the season, dubbed Island Spectacular, will be held Aug. 6. After the children are done playing there, they are invited to a Movie in the Park screening of “Moana 2.” The splash pad free play will run from 6:30 to 8 p.m., and the movie will air from 8 to 10 p.m.
