Think it was Colonel Mustard in the library with the candlestick? You’ll have to head to Pine-Richland High School this weekend to test out your theory.

On Nov. 18 and 19, high schoolers will perform “Clue: On Stage,” a comedic play based on the popular board game.

In the show, six characters — Colonel Mustard, Mrs. White, Mr. Green, Mrs. Peacock, Professor Plum and Miss Scarlet – are invited to a dinner party by a blackmailer. A slapstick, whodunnit mystery ensues.

This is the first time that Pine-Richland has put on this show, said director Kathy Morrissey. Students have been rehearsing since September.

The production is largely student-run, Morrissey said. She is “so proud” of the high schoolers involved and looks forward to the show.

“There’s so many unbelievably talented kids in this show, and it’s a hilarious production,” she said “The kids in it are just amazing. It will be a fun, fun night and everyone will be blown away by how amazing these kids are.”

Tickets, which are $8 for adults and $5 for students, can be purchased on Pine-Richland’s website or at the box office. The show will run on Friday, Nov. 18 at 7 p.m. and on Saturday, Nov. 19 at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Additionally, a free preview for senior citizens will take place on Thursday, Nov. 17 at 4 p.m.
