Pine-Richland High School sophomores Sophia Priore and Katelyn Rickard have been selected to perform with the All-State Chorus at the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association All-State Festival on April 20 at the Warner Theater in Erie.

Sophia and Katelyn were selected following a competitive audition process that began at the PMEA District 1 Chorus Festival in January at Canon-McMillan High School, where they auditioned and were selected for the PMEA Region 1 Choir Festival at Mars Area High School in March. Both Sophia and Kate placed in the top 14 of their section.

During the Region 1 festival, both auditioned for the All-State Chorus, for which students need to place in the top six to qualify. Sophia placed first and Kate placed second, competing against singers from nine counties.

The All-State Chorus will feature 240 of the best singers from across Pennsylvania.
