Pine, Richland’s latest coronavirus numbers

As coronavirus cases continue to surge in Allegheny County and across the country, the communities within the Signal Item coverage area have varying numbers of both positive cases and deaths.

As of Dec. 8, there have been 379 total cases of the novel coronavirus in the Pine Township since March, according to the latest information provided by an interactive Allegheny County covid-19 map. One death has been reported, and 3,169 tests have been administered to Pine residents.

Pine Township’s case rate is 330 per 10,000 residents.

Since the pandemic began, Richland Township has had 339 total cases of the virus. In that time, Richland has seen 31 deaths and 2,513 tests have been administered.

Richland’s case rate is 305 per 10,000 residents.
