Motorcyclist killed in Homewood crash

A Homewood man riding a motorcycle died Monday night after being involved in a crash in the Pittsburgh neighborhood.

Charles William Allen, 24, was riding an off-road motorcycle at 9:40 p.m. when he collided with a car near the intersection of Kelly Street and North Dallas Avenue, according to Pittsburgh police and the Allegheny County Medical Examiner.

Allen was taken to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 10:14 p.m.

No one in the car was hurt, police said. Officers from the collision investigation unit processed the scene.
