Pittsburgh police recovered narcotics and cash as part of a drug bust along Carrington Street in the North Side.

A North Side man accused of dealing heroin looked shocked when Pittsburgh police pulled up next to his parked Chevrolet Camaro on Tuesday evening and asked him to show his hands, according to police.

Police waited for Terrence Adams, 22, to leave the house in the 200 block of Carrington Street in the Central North Side because there were children inside, officers wrote in a criminal complaint.

At about 6:25 p.m., Adams walked out the front door to the car, which was parked across the street, and police pulled next to him, according to the complaint.

Adams took about five steps, fell to the ground and was handcuffed without incident.

Police and agents from the state Attorney General’s Office executed a search warrant for the house and car and found more than 140 bricks of heroin, a bag of marijuana, cash, cellphones and material used to weigh and package the drugs from a bedroom and on the ground outside a window of the house, according to the complaint. They also found about $1,400 in cash, police said.

Ten stamp bags of heroin marked “Frosted Flakes” and $25 in cash was found in the car, according to the complaint.

Adams was charged with two felony drug and three misdemeanor drug charges. He posted $10,000 bail.
