2 alleged drug dealers arrested at Dormont apartment with $220K in cocaine, meth
Law enforcement officials arrested two Dormont residents after authorities seized more than $220,000 worth of cocaine and methamphetamines from their apartment.
State Attorney General Josh Shapiro announced Wednesday the apprehension of Ivan Organista-Gomez, 41, and Fabiola Romero-Dorante, 33, of Texas Avenue, Dormont.
They’re charged with criminal conspiracy, possession with intent to deliver and other related charges following the alleged drug seizure.
Charges stem from an incident Dec. 27 along the 2400 block of West Liberty Avenue.
Organista-Gomez was pulled over after allegedly failing to stop at a stop sign shortly after leaving Romero-Dorante’s apartment. Agents say they seized 4 ounces of cocaine from the vehicle.
Authorities say agents went to the apartment and discovered a half-pound of methamphetamine, 1.5 kilograms of cocaine, more than $13,000 in cash, a digital scale and other items commonly used by drug traffickers to break down bulk amounts of narcotics into smaller amounts for sale.
Agents said Romero-Dorante told police how she and Organista-Gonez travel to California to buy cocaine and meth.
Authorities reported two juveniles were at the residence at the time of the seizure.
