2 boys shot in McKees Rocks

Two boys, ages 8 and 17, are recovering after being shot in McKees Rocks Tuesday night, according to Allegheny County Police.

The older victim was shot in the arm on the 400 block of Locust Street shortly before 9:30 p.m.

The younger boy was standing outside in the Hays Manors apartment complex about two blocks down the road, where he was attending a party. He was was grazed in the leg by a stray bullet, police said.

Both victims were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The 8-year-old was treated and released.

County detectives are investigating. At this time, they have no suspects and the motive is unclear.
