A midday shooting left two men injured in Pittsburgh’s Knoxville neighborhood Monday, authorities said.

Police responded to Brownsville Road about 12:40 p.m. for a report of multiple people who had been shot, according to Public Safety spokesman Chris Togneri.

Officers found one man with a gunshot wound to the right side of his chest and another with a gunshot wound to his upper left leg, Togneri said.

Both were taken to the hospital in critical condition, and both were upgraded to stable condition.

Investigators believe the shooting happened on nearby Ibis Way, and the men ran to Brownsville Road.
