Three members of the Eastminster Presbyterian Church, including Senior Pastor Paul Roberts, have tested positive for covid-19, according to a letter sent to parishioners.

The letter said Eastminster, located in the East Liberty neighborhood of Pittsburgh, is working with the Allegheny County Health Department in response to this development.

Services were canceled Sunday, and the church building and child care center will remain closed until further notice. Staff is working from home. Custodians will be cleaning the building.

The letter to parishioners said the church is coordinating ways for members to continue to worship.

“We are preparing to do this through online services, conference calls, and one-on-one phone conversations,” the letter said.

As of Wednesday afternoon, Allegheny County officials have reported eight confirmed cases of coronavirus and four presumptive cases, for a total of 12.
