5 things to do in Pittsburgh this weekend: June 28-30
Welcome the warmer temperatures by getting out and doing something this weekend. Here are some suggestions. Be sure to mind the Parkway East closure during your fun.
Have a drink at PNC Park
Saturday is the second year for the All-Star Craft Beer, Wine and Cocktail Festival at PNC Park on the North Shore.
Sample hundreds of craft beers, wines, and cocktail brands and experience the Pirates’ baseball stadium in a different light.
There are two sessions this year — 12:30-4:30 p.m. and 7-11 p.m.
The price of admission gets you the unlimited samples, a commemorative glass, ability to walk the bases and the warning track, a chance to take a photo in the dugout, a pair of vouchers for tickets to a Pirates game this season, live entertainment, games (giant Jenga, Connect Four, cornhole), pierogi races, and giveaways. The Pirate Parrot will be there.

It’s a sale
The Pittsburgh Center for the Arts in Shadyside will host its 11th annual “yART” sale, a creative spin on the traditional yard sale, on Sunday. Adjacent to Mellon Park, this outdoor event features 70 local artists selling art, equipment, ceramics, photographs, jewelry, art books, fabric, prints, glass, and art supplies to budding artists and collectors. At the same time, it provides artists a venue to sell inventory and materials.
