A 50-year-old man was shot in an upper leg Thursday at about 7:30 p.m. Thursday in Homestead, Homestead police Chief Jeff DeSimone said.

The man was taken to a local hospital, and DeSimone said said “It appeared to be a non-life threatening injury.”
