7-year-old boy struck by vehicle in Bloomfield

A child was struck by a vehicle in Bloomfield on Thursday night.

Pittsburgh police said the 7-year-old boy was transported to a local hospital via ambulance with a leg injury as a result of an incident around 7:30 p.m. in the 200 block of Gross Street.

Police said the driver of the vehicle initially left the scene, but came back and talked with investigators.

The incident remains under investigation.
