Emily Entwistle is a certified medical assistant with Allegheny Health Network. While she is based at the Wexford Health and Wellness Pavilion, she has been on the move during the coronavirus pandemic.

Emily volunteered to work with AHN’s mobile covid-19 testing unit, set up to reach underserved communities in places such as the city’s Hill District, Homewood and Hazelwood and Duquesne.

Many of Emily’s colleagues were reluctant to do this kind of hands-on testing in the field for fear of being exposed to the virus. But Emily felt compelled to help with the effort to provide enhanced care to a wider and more diverse range of patients.

Emily discusses her experience in a video interview with the Trib for the latest installment of Answering The Call.
