Airport Authority partners with Carlow University to improve customer service
The Allegheny County Airport Authority is teaming up with Carlow University to improve customer service at Pittsburgh International Airport.
Four Carlow graduates will be working shifts at the airport, looking for people who may need help navigating the terminal. They started making rounds in the terminal June 8 and will be paid $18 per hour by the airport authority.
They’ll have an iPad and will be able to find out information about delayed flights and access information that’s already on the authority’s website that people may not be able to access while at the airport.
They will also find people in need of help and try to assist them, all the while tracking the questions they’re asked and reporting back to airport officials so customer service can be improved.
The partnership brings Carlow into the fold of the institutions that have partnered with the airport in a variety of programs that include Carnegie Mellon University, the University of Pittsburgh and Robert Morris University.
