The number of confirmed and probable cases of the coronavirus in Allegheny County increased Sunday by 24 to 1,777 while the number of deaths held steady at 150, according to health department officials.
The first case was reported in the county on March 14.
No new deaths in the county have been reported a few other times during the past couple weeks, including on Wednesday and May 17.
The majority of cases have been reported in people 25 and older. Allegheny County moved to the yellow phase of Gov. Tom Wolf’s reopening plan May 15.
The number of patients who are or have been hospitalized in the county rose by one to 318. The majority of those hospitalized have been 50 and older.
