The Pulmonary Center run by the Allegheny County Health Department will be closed through Feb. 27 while the office relocates from Lawrenceville to downtown Pittsburgh.
The center will be housed on the first floor of the Hartley-Rose building, 425 First Ave.
Hours will be 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays.
Anyone who needs a screening during the closure can visit the Immunization Clinic, on the fourth floor of the Hartley-Rose building.
The Pulmonary Center, formerly called the Tuberculosis Clinic, provides routine screenings often needed for school or employment. It also offers evaluation, directly observed therapy and treatment.
No appointment is necessary.
The new space will provide significant improvements for patients, Ron Sugar, ACHD interim director, said in a release.
“Co-locating the Pulmonary Center and Immunization Clinic in the same building will be a positive change for both patients and employees,” he said.
For one, the new space is accessible by several Port Authority bus lines and there also many parking lots nearby, including the Mon Wharf and the First and Second Avenue lots.
