With the official start of swim season just two months away, the Allegheny County Parks Department is looking for lifeguards at its pools in Boyce, North, Settlers Cabin and South parks.
Starting pay is $11 an hour. Lifeguards who work through the Labor Day weekend will receive $0.50 for each hour worked during the season.
Anyone 16 and older is encouraged to apply.
Candidates willing to work the entire season must pass an aquatics test and background check. First aid and CPR certification is also required. Returning guards and applicants 18 and older will be given preference.
The 2019 swim season starts June 1 and runs through Sept. 2.
