Samples for covid-19 testing are prepared at MHS Labs in Monroeville on March 27, 2020.

Allegheny County health officials reported an additional 61 cases of covid-19 Saturday morning.

That is more than twice the 25 new cases reported from Thursday to Friday.

Females make up 110 cases, or 50.2%, and males account for 109 cases, or 49.8%.

The age breakdown of cases is as follows:

• 0-4: 1 (less than 1%)

• 5-12: 1 (less than 1%)

• 13-18: 5 (2%)

• 19-24: 25 (11%)

• 25-49: 100 (46%)

• 50-64: 57 (26%)

• 65+: 30 (14%)

The virus is responsible for two deaths in the county, and 31 of the 219 patients have required hospitalization.
