Allegiant Air announces flights between Pittsburgh and Tennessee

Allegiant Air is preparing to debut new directs flight between Pittsburgh International Airport and McGhee Tyson Airport in Knoxville, Tennessee, and offering tickets for as low as $49 each way.

The new seasonal route will start May 17.

Flights will run twice weekly, with full details about scheduling and fares available from the airline’s website.

The $49 deal only applies to some flights and is available for a limited time.

Allegiant Air has been operating out of Pittsburgh International Airport since 2015.

“Allegiant is continuing to grow and invest in Pittsburgh and we’re pleased to see another option added for travelers,” Bryan Dietz, Allegheny County Airport Authority’s vice president of air service development, said in a statement. “With their base of operations here, we look forward to even more growth in the future.”
