Are the Rolling Stones headed for Pittsburgh this summer?
The Rolling Stones 2020 tour buzz has begun, and Pittsburgh is showing up on lists of possible destinations.
If true, the rock band would be making its first stop in Pittsburgh in five years.
A fan website It’s Only Rock’n Roll said North American tour dates are expected to be announced next week. The cities rumored to be on the list are San Diego, St. Louis, Cleveland, Louisville, Buffalo, Nashville, Charlotte, Tampa, Atlanta and Pittsburgh.
Steve Spohn of Song Mango website reports the band will be playing in football stadiums. He’s also listing Pittsburgh as a tour destination.
Nick Sero, corporate communications manager for Heinz Field on Pittsburgh’s North Shore, declined comment.

Fans might want to take a look at a billboard around town. The last time the Rolling Stones played here – 2015 on the Zip Code Tour— they announced their upcoming presence via billboards throughout the city.
