State police are searching for a suspect who shot two teen boys during a drive-by shooting Tuesday night in East Pittsburgh.

The two teens, ages 14 and 16, told police they saw a vehicle several times while they were standing in the 500 block of Franklin Street at about 8:45 p.m. before the suspect drove past and fired multiple shots at them, according to investigators.

The 14-year-old suffered a gunshot wound to the chest and arm and the 16-year-old was shot in the leg. Both boys were treated at local hospitals for non-life threatening injuries, police said.

Bullets also struck two homes and an unoccupied vehicle parked on Franklin Street.

Police say they located the vehicle involved in the incident.

Officials have not named any suspects.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call state police at 412-299-1607.
