A Bellevue man was ordered by a federal judge in Pittsburgh to serve four years in federal prison for having child porn, the U.S. Attorney’s Office said Wednesday.
On Monday, U.S. District Judge Arthur J. Schwab also sentenced Christopher Morrison, 26, of Bellevue, to serve 10 years of supervised release after prison.
Prosecutors say that in June 2018 Adams Township police confiscated Morrison’s cell phone in connection with a different case. But officers said they saw multiple images of child porn.
The FBI examined the phone and confirmed that Morrison had about 700 images and 11 videos that depicted child pornography.
Some of the porn depicted minors under 12 years old, U.S. Attorney Scott Brady said in a statement.
The FBI and the Adams Township police conducted the investigation.
