Body of man pulled from water near Point State Park
Pittsburgh EMS River Rescue retrieved the body of a man who was seen floating in the water near Point State Park Wednesday morning, authorities said.
A park ranger reported seeing the body floating at about 8:45 a.m., according to a Pittsburgh Public Safety Department spokeswoman.
The man, whose identity was not released, was pronounced deceased by medics at 8:59 a.m.
Detectives from the Pittsburgh Bureau of Police Violent Crime Unit are investigating the incident.
The Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office will determine the cause and manner of the man’s death.
