A Braddock man was taken to a local hospital by McKeesport Area Rescue Service after being struck by a vehicle in Duquesne.

A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle along North Second Street in Duquesne Monday afternoon.

City police said they were dispatched around 1:15 p.m. for the incident in front of Truman Towers.

Officers reported a 56-year-old Braddock man had walked onto the street behind a vehicle and was struck by a Ford Focus driven by a 65-year-old woman from Duquesne.

Police said damage on the vehicle indicated a low-speed impact with minor damage to the passenger front bumper and passenger-side mirror.

McKeesport Area Rescue Service transported the man to a local hospital for evaluation of back and leg injuries.

The incident is still under investigation. It was unclear if any charges would be filed against the driver.
