A male suspect is accused of firing a gun toward a person and instead striking a parked car near an elementary school in Pittsburgh’s Sheraden neighborhood, officials said.

No one was injured, Pittsburgh Public Safety spokesman Maurice Matthews said.

Police officers responded to a report of a domestic dispute in the 700 block of Sherwood Avenue shortly before 2:30 p.m., Matthews said. Officials also received a ShotSpotter alert in the area.

They arrived to find a car parked along the street struck by multiple rounds.

The incident prompted Langley K-8 school to go on lockdown briefly while Pittsburgh Public Schools police conducted a sweep of the campus, Matthews said.

No further details were immediately available.

Police continue to investigate.
