Already restricted to takeout-only service, the local gourmet burger chain Burgatory is temporary closing all nine of its locations after a member of the company’s executive team reported symptoms consistent with covid-19.

“While our team member and friend has not been tested at this time, we have decided out of an abundance of caution to close all our locations,” company officials posted on Facebook.

The team member was not identified.

The company said while it always follows the highest protocols for food safety and sanitation “we will take this time to deep clean and sanitize each of our locations top to bottom in order to ensure the health and safety of our crews and guests before reopening soon.”

Burgatory operates restaurants in Fox Chapel, Robinson, Homestead, Murrysville, McCandless, Cranberry, the North Shore, PPG Paints Arena and Heinz Field.
