A convenience store on Brownsville Road in Carrick was damaged after a hit-and-run involving a Mercedes sedan early Tuesday.

No one was hurt Tuesday when a car crashed into the front door of a convenience store in Carrick, according to Pittsburgh police.

Pittsburgh police said officers were called shortly before 3:30 a.m. to a Uni-Mart in the 1900 block of Brownsville Road.

Officers said they spoke with a clerk and a witness who described the car crashing into the store’s glass front doors and then reversing before fleeing the scene.

Police said camera footage from inside and outside the store show the car was a black, four-door Mercedes sedan. No license plate was available because only the front of the car was caught on camera.

Anyone with information is asked to call Pittsburgh police at 412-488-8326.
