Convicted Pittsburgh felon pleads guilty to having drugs, gun
A convicted felon pleaded guilty this week in federal court to having a gun, ammunition and drugs when he wasn’t supposed to.
As a convicted felon, Tyree Jrevae Booker, age 41, of Pittsburgh, is not allowed to possess firearms.
However, on Dec. 6, 2018, U.S. Attorney Scott W. Brady said Booker had in his possession a Hi-Point pistol and ammunition, as well as crack cocaine, cocaine and methamphetamine that he intended to distribute.
According to Brady, Booker previously was convicted of crimes punishable for a term exceeding one year, including an Aug. 14, 1996, conviction for voluntary manslaughter in Allegheny County.
Booker’s sentencing is scheduled for April 16, 2020. He faces up to 30 years in prison, a fine of $1.25 million or both.
