Homicide investigators seek public’s help after teen found shot dead in McKeesport

Investigators are seeking the public’s help in connection with a fatal shooting Sunday afternoon in McKeesport.

Detectives from the Allegheny County homicide unit responded to request for assistance after a man was discovered shot to death in the 1300 block of Tube Works Alley at around 1:45 p.m.

Authorities say a McKeesport police officer in a marked cruiser was flagged down by a pedestrian along Walnut Street who said there was a body on the roadway along Tube Works.

McKeesport police located the body of a 17-year-old boy in the alley suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim, whose name was not released, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the Allegheny County Police at 1-833-255-8477 or contact them them through social media. Callers can remain anonymous.
