Babcock Boulevard in McCandless reopens after crash, investigation

A portion of Babcock Boulevard in McCandless that closed Sunday afternoon due to a multi-vehicle crash with injuries reopened at about 5:30 p.m.

County officials reported on social media the crash occurred in the 8700 block of Babcock Boulevard. The road had been closed at Duncan Avenue.

The county said one of the cars crashed into a utility pole.

An Allegheny County 911 dispatcher said the crash happened around 1:45 p.m.

No other information was immediately available.
