A crash on Nov. 15, 2019 involving a Pittsburgh Public Works truck closed a portion of Washington Boulevard.

Washington Boulevard has reopened following a three-vehicle crash involving a Pittsburgh Public Works truck early Friday.

The crash happened at about 6:50 a.m. and left two people injured but in stable condition, Maurice Matthews, public safety spokesman, said.

It closed all but one lane of the road for several hours for clean-up.

Police said the city truck leaked fuel onto the road as a result of the damage sustained in the crash.

Crews with a sand truck worked to contain and clean the fuel spill.

Police are investigating.
