Crime stoppers seeking help with homicide investigation

Pittsburgh Crime Stoppers is seeking assistance with a homicide investigation into the Jan. 14 shooting death of a man in Wilkinsburg.

The victim, Tremaine Solomen, 30, of Monroeville, died from multiple gunshot wounds to his head.

Solomen was leaving a residence around 8:20 p.m. with several other people when shots were fired.

Numerous spent shell casings from several different caliber handguns were found at the crime scene. No one who was leaving the residence with Solomen said they saw the shooter or shooters.

Police did not know the motive for the shooting. Allegheny County homicide detectives are investigating.

Anyone with information about this homicide is asked to call Pittsburgh Crime Stoppers at 412-255-TIPS (412-255-8477). A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered for information. Callers remain anonymous.
