Dave & Buster's holding job fair for 200 openings at new North Hills site
Dave & Buster’s is hosting a job fair on Tuesday to recruit the 200 employees needed for the opening of its second location in the Pittsburgh area in February.
The job fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the new Dave & Busters being developed at The Block Northway shopping center along McKnight Road in Ross.
The company has openings for servers, bartenders, hosts, line cooks and game techs. Many of the positions have benefits including medical, dental and vision insurance and a 401 (k) retirement plans, according to a news release announcing the job fair.
The company also offers a “high potential” programs to reward top-performing employees with advancement into management positions. Officials note that more than 30 percent of Dave & Buster’s managers were promoted from within the company.
Another benefit of working for a popular dining and entertainment venue is the potential to have a good time on the job.
“I’ve been with the company for five years now and I’ve never had more fun in my life,” said Maria Agresti, general manager for the new Block Northway location.
“We’re already hiring new people, we’re already high-fiving. On Tuesday, we’ll have a prize wheel and qualified candidates will receive a loaded power card. Dave & Buster’s is all about fun, it’s an entertaining experience,” Agresti said.
The new Dave & Buster’s location will have more than 40,000 square feet of entertainment featuring chef-crafted foods, innovative drinks, hundreds of the latest arcade games and a state-of-the-art sports bar filled with dozens of high definition televisions.
Candidates who can’t make it to the job fair on Jan. 8 can complete an online application or apply by texting “DBPitts” to 77948.
The company also is accepting applications in person from Jan. 16 to Feb. 5 at a new hiring site at the Hampton Inn Pittsburgh McKnight Road, located at 4575 McKnight Road in Ross.
The hiring center center will be open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The Dallas, Texas, based company operates 121 Dave & Buster’s’ in the United States including its first Pittsburgh area location in The Waterfront shopping center in Homestead.
