Four people were hospitalized, including two in critical condition, after their vehicles collided on the Liberty Bridge early Labor Day, police said.
Pittsburgh emergency responders were dispatched for the multi-vehicle collision shortly before 12:20 a.m.
Authorities said a vehicle travelling inbound had crossed the median and struck another vehicle head-on. A third vehicle was also struck as a result.
EMS transported two patients to UPMC Mercy in critical condition. A woman was hospitalized with a possible broken leg, and a man was taken as a precaution.
The Liberty Bridge was closed in both directions for a few hours while investigators processed the scene.
