An Elizabeth man has admitted to possessing child pornography, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Pittsburgh.

Ernest Gill, 65, pleaded guilty to the crime in federal court before U.S. District Judge Cathy Bissoon, according to a news release.

His sentencing is scheduled for Jan. 9.

Authorities said law enforcement executed a search warrant at Gill’s residence in July 2017 and discovered child pornography on his phone, Dropbox and Yahoo accounts.

Gill also admitted to distributing the illegal content, authorities said.

The FBI, Allegheny County District Attorney Investigations Unit and Allegheny County Police conducted the investigation.
