As the coronavirus outbreak wears on and businesses in Pennsylvania and around the country remain closed, staving off hunger is becoming an increasingly monumental task.

Brian Gulish of the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank gave an update on this week’s food podcast.

The organization’s efforts to feed those who need it around the region roll on, and the food bank is working on new ways to distribute food.

Most times, the food bank’s distributions are performed on a walk-up basis. They are working on a drive-up option as social distancing guidelines remain in place.

Gulish talks about a drive-up distribution taking place Monday and the food bank’s future plans.
