About the only thunder expected at tonight’s Garth Brooks concert is if he plays “The Thunder Rolls” — and the roar of the record crowd.

Although it was raining and cloudy early Saturday, conditions are expected to be more favorable by the time the Heinz Field concert starts at 7 p.m.

Temperatures are expected to be near 80, with partly cloudy skies and only 9% chance of precipitation, according the National Weather Service Pittsburgh office in Moon.

Ticket sales for the record-setting concert have exceeded 72,000.

Sunday is expected to be mostly sunny with a high near 85.
