A former Coraopolis man will remain detained in a federal prison until his sentencing later this year on charges stemming from a 2017 drug overdose death, according to U.S. Attorney Scott Brady.
Cleo Maurice Bronaugh, 42, pleaded guilty Tuesday to distributing fentanyl and accepted responsibility for the death of a person only identified as L.T. in an announcement from federal authorities. On March 5, 2017, Bronaugh delivered fentanyl in Moon Township to L.T., who later died, according to the announcement.
At his Dec. 19 sentencing, Bronaugh faces a maximum sentence of 30 years in prison and a fine of up to $1 million.
He previously was convicted in 2013 of a drug offense in Allegheny County court, according to online court filings.
