The Gateway Clipper Fleet will resume sightseeing tours this week, officials announced on their Facebook page.

The tours, which last about an hour, will resume Friday when Allegheny County moves into the green phase of Gov. Wolf’s reopening plan, lifting heavy restrictions put in place to help curb the spread of the coronavirus. Those in counties that are moved to green are still encouraged to wear masks and practice social distancing measures.

Cruises have been canceled since March when non-life-sustaining businesses were ordered to be closed.

Now, only sightseeing cruises will resume, and “covid-19 practices will be in place on this trip,” according to the website. “Please follow stated guidelines and requests while aboard.”

Other events, like dinner and kids cruises, will resume in late June, the website shows.

Reservations for cruises throughout the summer can be booked at gatewayclipper.com.
