One person was killed during a home invasion Thursday in Wilkinsburg , authorities said.

Police and paramedics responded just before 10:30 p.m. to Woodlawn Avenue for reports of a man shot and several others held at gunpoint after two people barged into a home.

Officers found a 42-year-old man suffering from multiple gunshots. He was pronounced dead at the scene, Allegheny County police Sgt. Venerando Costa said.

Witnesses told detectives there were three men, a woman and a baby inside the home during the robbery.

The two suspects fled the home, Costa said.

Police continue to investigate. Anyone with information is asked to call the county police tip line at 1-833-ALL-TIPS (1-833-255-8477). Callers can remain anonymous.
