Home invasion leaves 1 dead in Wilkinsburg

A home invasion left one person dead in Wilkinsburg on Nov. 14, 2019.

One person was killed during a home invasion Thursday in Wilkinsburg , authorities said.

Police and paramedics responded just before 10:30 p.m. to Woodlawn Avenue for reports of a man shot and several others held at gunpoint after two people barged into a home.

Officers found a 42-year-old man suffering from multiple gunshots. He was pronounced dead at the scene, Allegheny County police Sgt. Venerando Costa said.

Witnesses told detectives there were three men, a woman and a baby inside the home during the robbery.

The two suspects fled the home, Costa said.
