The Homeville Bridge in West Mifflin reopened Wednesday night after being closed in both directions due to “police activity.”

Borough dispatchers would not specify what happened in the area, and only would confirm the bridge was closed since around 8 p.m. Wednesday.

It was reopened sometime before 10:20 p.m.

Allegheny County officials also announced the bridge closure via Twitter, but did not say what happened.
