The region’s first measurable snowfall of 2019 fell over the weekend after heavy rains froze solid on the pavement, making city steps like this one between Jancey and Butler streets in Morningside treacherous on Sunday, Jan. 20, 2019.

The region first significant snowfall of 2019 blanketed the region over the weekend and temperatures dipped into the teens with bitter cold winds gusts.
