Jack White and The Raconteurs to play Pittsburgh
It’s steady as she goes for The Raconteurs as they embark on a 2019 World Tour that brings them to Pittsburgh’s Stage AE in August.
The Raconteurs, featuring Jack White, Brendan Benson, Jack Lawrence and Patrick Keeler, will kick off their tour April 16 in New Zealand with dates running through Oct. 18 in St. Louis. Tickets to the North American headline dates go on sale to the general public on Friday.
The Raconteurs new album “Help us Stranger” will be released June 21 via Third Man Records. Every online ticket purchase comes with one physical copy of the new album.
In 2006, The Raconteurs burst onto the alternative music scene, scoring a No. 1 hit on the Modern Rock Tracks chart with “Steady, As She Goes,” the first song ever written by White and Benson. It was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal. They also received a Grammy nomination that same year for Best Rock Album for “Broken Boy Soldiers.”
The band plays Stage AE on Aug. 13 and it’s being billed as a “phone-free” show. No photos, video or audio recording devices are allowed.
“We think you’ll enjoy looking up from your gadgets for a little while and experience music and our shared love of it IN PERSON,” said the band in a statement.
