Kayak Pittsburgh to open in June
Kayakers, the wait is almost over.
Kayak Pittsburgh, with rental sites in North Shore, North Park and Aspinwall, has announced its opening dates for the season.
“Thank you for your continued support during this time. We are working diligently to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all participants as we pursue re-launching our programming,” Kayak Pittsburgh, owned and operated by Venture Outdoors, said in a statement on its website. “We look forward to getting back out on the water with you.”
Venture Outdoor members will be able to get out on the water June 11. The public will be able to rent kayaks June 12.
With a normal opening on Memorial Day weekend, this year’s start date was pushed back because of the coronavirus pandemic.
A list of precautions Kayak Pittsburgh is performing for patrons is available on its website.
