Mad Mex is battling low spirits amid coronavirus with its Mad Mar-GO-ritas, the popular restaurant chain announced Wednesday.
Available at all open locations, the 32-ounce frozen beverages are available for takeout. Cost is $15.
Margaritas-to-go are citrus-flavored beverages that are Pa.-takeout-approved, the company posted on social media, along with the hashtag #getmexyathome.

Chef Bill Fuller, president of big Burrito Restaurant Group, said he had to alter the recipe to make it legal to sell for takeout, using a malt beverage base rather than tequila.
He says he’s excited to see how people respond to the frozen to-go treat.
Will it stick around long after covid-19?
“If it is popular enough, who knows,” he said.
Last week, Fuller posted a newsletter that detailed his frustration, or unfamiliarity, with so many hours on his hands due to the stay-at-home order.
He said he is learning to enjoy slow moments and encouraged others to do the same.
“While the world has been turned upside down and we’re all afraid for our health, our security and our finances, we have been forced to pause and take our time,” he said. “We have no recourse but to take time with our families, talk with our loved ones, read a book and play board games. There is a gift here, one that we should treasure while it lasts. Because all too soon, we will be back at the race of life.”
The restaurant group also includes Alta Via, Kaya, Casbah, Eleven, Soba and Umi.
Mad Mex is open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. in The Waterworks in O’Hara, Cranberry, Monroeville, North Hills, Scott Township, Shadyside and Canonsburg. The Oakland restaurant will open for to-go orders on Friday.
