Shooting Suspect Master William Thornton

Allegheny County Police Wednesday arrested a McKeesport man in connection with an October homicide at a Family Dollar.

Master William Thornton, 18, is charged with killing Dwayne Fuller, 24, of Homestead.

Thornton was 17 at the time of the shooting, which happened just after 11 a.m. at the Family Dollar at Versailles Avenue. Fuller was shot several times in the torso, and pronounced dead soon after.

Police at the time described it as a targeted shooting.

Two men fled on foot.

One was Thornton, police said. Investigators don’t know who the second suspect was.

Thornton is charged with criminal homicide, criminal conspiracy, robbery with infliction of serious bodily injury and possession of firearm by a minor.

He was arraigned and held without bond in Allegheny County Jail.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Aug. 5.
